Privacy Policy

1. Our Approach
At Nova Corporate Governance Solutions, your privacy is very important to us. This privacy policy sets out how we protect your privacy in the course of collecting, holding and disclosing information.

2. Collecting your information
We may collect your personal information in the course of providing services to you, or if one of our clients requires us to collect your information on their behalf. When we collect the information, we'll tell you why we are collecting it and how we plan to use it, unless the reason is obvious under the circumstances.

The information we collect may include your name, address, occupation, professional memberships, contact information, your interests, or details of your dealings with us or our clients.

3. Information we collect on the website
Generally, the only information we collect via this website is information which you provide voluntarily (such as when you fill in a form to register your interest for future updates on Nova services, for example).
We, or our Internet service provider (ISP), may also make a record of your visit and record the following information:

  • your Internet address;
  • you domain name if applicable; and
  • the date and time of your visit to the website.

We, or our ISP, may also collect general, summary information about the usage of our website (such as how many people visit a particular page). It is not possible to identify any individual from this information.

4. Using and disclosing your information
We will use your information for the purpose for which it was collected. In many cases, this purpose will be obvious when the information is collected. We may also use this information for the following purposes, in addition to the purpose for which it was collected:

  • providing services to you, including managing and accounting for those services;
  • developing our relationship with you and improving the quality of the services we provide to you;
  • providing you (or our clients) with updates on the law or other important business matters which you may be interested in;
  • sharing the information within Nova for business purposes;
  • providing the information to external service providers, agents, contractors and strategic partners from time to time to help us to provide and market our services to you. Where we do this, we generally require these parties to protect your information the same way we do;
  • complying with the law; and
  • any purpose to which you consent.

5. Use of cookies
A cookie is a small piece of digital information which our web server transmits to your browser. This information is stored on your computer, and our web server can request it when you visit our web site.

We use cookies on this web site to improve your experience of using this web site. We do not store personal information, such as an email address, in cookies.

6. Security
If we hold your information, we will take reasonable steps to protect the security and privacy of that information. However, you should be aware that the Internet is not a secure environment, and you transmit information to us over the Internet at your own risk.

Any staff who have access to confidential information are subject to confidentiality restrictions.

7. Access
You may request access at any time to any of your personal information which we hold. In some cases, we may charge you a fee for access to the information. We may refuse access to the information where the National Privacy Principles allow us to do so.
